Pete’s Steakhouse Tavern: A Casual Dining Experience for Pizza and More in Hamilton, NJ

Birthday Dinner #1 was at an interesting place, Pete's Steakhouse Tavern, and I'm glad we went. Service was wonderful and the food was very good and quite reasonable. I ordered chicken parm, and my handsome dining had the Italian chicken. There was plenty left for the next night! I think my only three minor complaints were #1 I wanted to sit at the bar because it's just something we like to do, and it was absolutely slammed so we sat in an adjoining room. #2 I was FREEZING in that room! #3 There's an exit door right outside the ladies' room and every time it slammed, which was often, the entire wall shook! But it was all worth it. We'll go back and hope to score a seat at the bar.

It was our first time visiting Pete’s Steakhouse Tavern. My wife, brother and I all went together. They have a nice parking lot, but it was completely full by around 5:30pm. We were able to find on street parking nearby pretty easily. The seating is unique for this restaurant. They have seating in a main bar area and seating in their liquor store. The ambiance was pretty cool, but some folks might not like being seated in a liquor store. They were pretty busy so it took a couple minutes for our waitress to get our drink order. We weren’t in a rush so it worked out fine for us. Our waitress was nice and helpful. The prices on the menu were reasonable. We ordered cheesesteak egg rolls as an appetizer and a round of drinks. The drinks came out quickly followed by the egg rolls. They were hot and tasty. There were 3 egg rolls so it made it easy to split. For our entrees I ordered the Chicken Parmesan platter. My wife ordered the Fish and Chips and my brother ordered the Chicken Parm Sandwich. Everyone liked their food. The Chicken Parmesan platter comes with a side of pasta or vegetable. You also can get a side salad or soup. The Chicken Parmesan was breaded well, had a good crisp on it and the sauce was delicious. It was one of the better. Chicken Parmesan platters that I’ve had. My brother said the sandwich version was also very good. My wife commented that the fish was really delicious. The only reason I gave 4 stars vs. 5 was I felt the waitress could have used more help refilling drinks since she was running around taking orders and bringing orders to tables. The food was excellent and we will be back.

Cheers, sitcom greeting atmosphere, excellent and professional waitresses. 1st time visitors, but we're made to feel as if we were locals who visited regularly. The food was delicioso ( darn good tasting) The quality and quantity of the meal was well worth the price for someone like coworkers who were looking for great tasting and outstanding atmosphere. Don't take my word for it. It's best if you came for yourself to Cheers it out.

I had the delmonico steak and a friend had the ?pig wings? They are short ribs. Both of out meals were great. Noisy atmosphere tho. UPDATE: had a second visit. Had something new, I'll post pics below and as first time, really good.

Had lunch there yesterday. There were 6 of us. We ordered a variety of different items. Chicken parm, Delmonico steak, Cheese steak hoagie, rice balls, sausage soup. Everything was good! I loved their tomato sauce. Maybe the best I ever had. Service was great and it's a cozy atmosphere. Enjoyed it!

I heard the hype and wasn't disappointed. Delicious food, good service old school atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

This place is a gem, staff is so friendly. It’s so close to my home I had to try it. Cosmopolitan was delicious! The food is amazing.. they have the BEST margarita pizza, meatball parm sandwiches, delicious mussels, and out of this world antipasto salad ! Once in a while they have lentil soup it’s so good! I love this place.
